Gary Galloway Memorial Flag Football Game

A charity event bringing a community together to fund the wishes of children facing life threatening medical conditions and in doing so providing hope, strength and joy to these children and their families during their most difficult time.

Simi Valley Police vs. Ventura County Fire

For each of the past 4 years the Ventura County Firefighters have handed the Simi Valley Police Officers a crushing defeat.  In doing so, the firefighters have taken home the game’s perpetual trophy, a signed John Elway, Denver Bronco Football.  The trophy football is in honor of Galloway, as this was his favorite quarterback & team.  Not only do the firefighters hold the game trophy, but of course bragging rights, all year…every year!!  Last year’s score 20-14 was the closest so far.  This year “Team Police” is coming to get that trophy from “Team Fire” with a vengeance…can’t wait!!

Our 2013 game is the 5th year anniversary of this event.  To date we have adopted the wishes of 7 children facing life-threatening illnesses within our community.  We forecast another 2 wishes being adopted this year.  Along with receiving their wishes these children & their families are incredibly appreciative of the community support they feel from this event, so much so that they continue to come back year after year to join us in supporting future wish families.

This cool, fun event has become a tradition that all involved enjoy so much.  We hope that you come out, root for your favorite team, see the cool tools & vehicles on display from police & fire and join us in making wishes come true.
